ASP Classes – Kinder: アフタースクール園児クラス
Fun English
Hello hello hello …. another great week! I am immensely proud of everyone. You all have been doing your best and giving 100 percent. This week we continued with our greetings with Kinka, Pinka and everyone at Happy Valley. We learned a new ‘song Stop, Look, Ready, go’ and practiced ‘Here You Are, Thank You’ a lot. I cannot believe we just started book work, and everyone is doing so well! We got to color Kinka and Pinka and talk about the colors we used. With the phonics book we practiced Aa and Bb then stuck our stickers in the ‘Let’s chant’ and ‘chant it your way’ section.
Next week we will continue with the unit 1 story, songs and dance, book work and then start asking questions like “what’s your name” and maybe some other fun questions.
If you are at home and want to practice singing and dancing, there is CD’s in the back of your Happy Valley books, and you can practice and have fun with all our favorite songs from this week.
Get your colored pencils ready, get ready to stick stickers, get ready to dance and sing and most of all get ready to have FUN! see you next week! – Teacher John

今週は、キンカ、ピンカ、そしてハッピーバレーの皆さんとのあいさつを続けました。新しく「Stop, Look, Ready, Go!」を学び、「Here you are, Thank you（はいどうぞ、ありがとう）」をたくさん練習しました。始めたばかりだとは信じられないほど皆さん、上手にできていました！キンカとピンカに色をぬり、使った色についても話しました。
フォニックスでは、AaとBbを練習してから、「Let’s chant」セクションにシールを貼り、「Chant it your way」セクションに入れました。
来週は、ユニット1のお話、歌、ダンス、ワークブックを続け「What’s your name?名前は何ですか」などの質問を始めます。
家で歌や踊りを練習したい場合は、ハッピーバレーの本の裏にCDがありますのでご活用ください。今週の曲をすべて練習して楽しむことができます。
色鉛筆を準備！シール準備！ダンスと歌の準備！そして何より、楽しむ準備！を整えて、また来週お会いしましょう！

Discover English
Trains, cars, buses, and other vehicles continue to be the focus of our studies with Pinka and Kinka in Happy Valley. Everyone is doing really well with the vocabulary and everyone seems to be eager to answer questions. The students are also having a lot of fun joining in some finger plays, like “Rock, scissors, paper, what shall we make?” and “here’s a cup” and everyone really enjoys doing some fun physical learning like running and riding a bicycle. With phonics we learned the sounds of p, b, and a, and we also have a lot of fun listening to the phonics song, including Mike’s arrangement of the blues infused phonics song. I’m looking forward to seeing you guys again, and maybe even getting to play some more hide and seek. -Mike
電車、車、バス、などなどの乗り物が、２週目のハッピーバレーのピンカとキンカのしている研究のテーマです。皆さん、単語を上手に使って、熱心に質問に答えていました。「グーチョキパーで何を作ろう？」「Here’s a cup はい、コップだよ」などの、手遊びにも楽しく参加してくれました。
誰もが、ランニングする、自転車に乗る、など身体を動かすアクティビティも楽しんでくれました。
フォニックスでは、p、b、aの音を学びました。フォニックスソングでは、ブルースを注入した私オリジナルのアレンジなど、聴いて楽しんでくれていたら嬉しいです。
またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

Can you say it? wow good job! I think everyone is doing amazing! This week we continued with unit 1 of the happy valley curriculum and finished week 2. During week 2 we Completed book work in the student book and phonics book. Together we practiced singing and dancing to Hello, Hello, I Don’t Want Pizza Pancakes, Here You Are. Thank You and what do you do in the morning? Do you remember how to dance and sing to those songs? well you can use the CD’s in the back of your books to practice at home if you would like to. Try the counting songs for fun. Next week we will continue with our phonics book, student book and our unit 1 story – Breakfast Time. I look forward to seeing you all next week! Let’s have fun together!

ハッピーバレーのユニット1を継続し、第2週を終了しました。今週は、Student BookとPhonicsBookを完成させました。「Hello, Hello」「I don’t want a pizza pancake!」「Here You Are、Thank You」「What Do You Do In The Morning?」これらの歌の歌詞や踊りを覚えているかな？必要に応じて、本の裏にあるCDを使用して自宅で練習できます。レッスンで一層楽しんで参加できるように、お試してを！
来週は、Phonics Book, Student Book, ユニット1のお話の「Breakfast Time」を続けます。来週お会いできるのを楽しみにしています！また一緒に楽しみましょう！

Kinder Optional 幼児オプションクラス
Our second lesson was lots of fun for everyone who came! In the phonics portion of class, we studied the short “e” vowel sound and practiced identifying vocabulary associated with this sound. We practiced this using both picture and word forms, and many students did very well! We completed page five in our textbook, which involved writing. During the speaking portion of class, we followed our usual format. We began with a short puppet skit between the characters Sami and Bob, who showed us how to make conversation. Students engaged in conversation and interacted with the teacher next. We then studied the days of the week and the months of the year, reinforcing it through singing and a guessing game. It was a fun week and we appreciate everyone’s support and participation from home! – Nate

フォニックスは、短い「e」母音。この音に関連する語彙を識別する練習し、絵と単語の両方の形式を使って口頭練習しました。多くの皆さんがとても上手でした！教科書の5ページのライティングを完了しました。
スピーキングでは、通常の形式に従い、会話の仕方を教えてくれたキャラクターのサミとボブの間の短い人形劇から始めました。次に会話に取り組み、講師とのやり取りをしました。次に、曜日、年の月、を学び、歌唱と推測ゲームで強化練習をしました。

Hello, Our second week is done. We had so much fun playing games such as “what’s missing?” and “ Slow reveal” with vowels and their anchor words (a-apple, e-elephant,i-igloo,o-octopus,u-umbrella). The students had a lot of fun playing these games and singing the vowel songs. We had practiced answering basic questions like “what’s your name?” and “How are you?”. The students also had the opportunity to ask Bubu about different things at home using the question form “What is it?”. This week has been so much fun. Thank you very much for your engagement. こんにちは、2週目のオンラインレッスンが終わりました。
「What’s missing? 何が足りないかな？」などのゲームはとても楽しかったですね。母音とそれに続く単語（a-apple、e-elephant、i-igloo、o-octopus、u-umbrella）を使って「Slow Reveal」というゲームもしました。こういったゲームをしたり、母音を歌で歌ったたりして楽しんでくれたようです。 「What’s your name?」「How are you？元気ですか？」のような基本的な質問に答える練習も入れました。。また「What is it?それは何ですか」という質問フォームを使用、Bubuに家で色々なことを尋ねてみました。

We had loads of fun this week during class! Students were able to engage in short conversation with the teacher and followed along with our animal song, “I’m A Cow”! Continuing in our study of animals, students participated in a guessing game and worked hard to identify pictures of animals. We then worked on page three in our Home Book, which involved writing according to this specific format: “I’m a ______.” We practiced our pronunciation and phonic building by combining random letters to form nonsense words, helping students learn how to decode words. We also read through the first story in our Fun Phonics Reader book. Thanks for your participation at home and see you next time! – Nate

生徒と講師で短い会話を交わし、動物の歌「I’m A Cow」を歌ってレッスンが開始しまいした。
引き続き動物をテーマに、推測ゲームをしたり、動物の写真を特定するために一生懸命やっていました。ホームブックの3ページに取り組み「I am a ____ 私は○○です」という特定の形式に従って書く練習をしました。ランダムな文字を組み合わせて意味のない単語を形成し、発音の練習を行っています。単語の解読に役に立ちます。また、Fun Phonics Readerブックの最初のストーリーも読みました。

Hey everyone, it’s been a great time in our second week of online lessons for the Elementary Intermediate class. The students had a great time showing off things they found in their house, from erasers to Nintendo Switches using the phrase “It’s a…”. They practiced their phonics using some fun games, including: the spider game, where they had to guess a word before the spider is finished and; Too Many Hats, where every time the students read a word a teacher had to wear another hat – until all the hats fell off! We finished out our lesson with some writing using “what is it? It’s a…” It’s been a lot of fun this week, and I’m looking forward to our next week! Teacher Ian
皆さん、こんにちは。オンラインレッスンの第2週目、大変素晴らしい時間となりました。
消しゴムからNintendo スイッチなどなどをネタに「It’s a …それは…です」というフレーズを使って、家で見つけたものを披露しました。また、いくつか楽しいゲームを使用してフォニックスを練習していうます。例えば「Spider Game」。スパイダーが完成する前に単語を推測する必要があります。「Too Many Hats」では、生徒が単語を読むたびに、先生は別の帽子をかぶらなければならず、最終的に帽子が全て落ちてしまいました！ライティングでは「What is it? それは何ですか？」の練習をしています。
今週はとても楽しかったです。また来週を楽しみにしています！

We reviewed our vocabulary and sentences pertaining to everyday activities (from page 6 of our New Finding Out 4 books), such as getting up and eating breakfast, and we tested our memory with some pictionary-style drawing games! Students would pick a sentence/picture, draw it, and then the rest of the class would guess the correct answer. After that, we played a thrilling phonics reading board game from page 8 of our NFO4 books, where the students split up into two teams and rock-scissor-papers with each other as they rolled and dice and read phonic structures from the board. There was a very narrow victory by “Team Rice” over “Team Gorilla!”, and I think everyone had a good time while being able to learn and practice a lot of English together.
Our homework for this week is page 6, section 3 (the bottom third) of the NFO4 workbook, and they should write the question/answer structures directly into their notebooks. -Kurt
今週のレッスンではNew Finding Out 4のテキスト6ページの日々の活動について（起床する、朝食をとるなど）の文章や単語について復習を行いました。そしてそれらをちゃんと記憶できているかを書き出す活動ゲームにより確認していきました。生徒たちは、文章や単語を選び、絵を書きます。そしてそれを他の生徒たちに見せて、答えてもらうというゲームです。そのあとは、New Finding Out 4のテキスト8ページの内容で、スリリング満点のフォニックスをつかったリーディングボードゲームをしました。ここでは２つのチームに分かれてじゃんけんをします。そしてチームごとにさいころをふる係と、フォニックス構造を読む係に分かれます。チーム名はなんと、お米チームとゴリラチームというチーム名になりました。面白かったですね。オンラインではありますが、参加してくれたみんながつながり一丸となってゲームを楽しむことができましたので、とてもいい時間になりました。今週の宿題はワークブックの6ページのセクション３です。そして、ノートブックに直接質問と回答を書いていただければと思います。お時間をありがとうございました。

Elementary Optional 小学生アドバンスオプションクラス
This week, we did a lot of reading and reading practice. We read about a family that goes to the countryside to pick vegetables. We also did a lot of reading comprehension work by asking lots of questions about what we read. We focused on using pronouns like “he” and “they.” In our grammar section, we continued to practice nouns and verbs. We did activities like “Find Something ____” where one student would challenge everyone to find something. For example, “Find something blue.” We also reviewed verbs by playing Simon says. We sorted out the words we used into nouns and verbs in our notebooks. Thanks for the great week, I’ll see you next Tuesday! -Kori
今週は、たくさんの読書と、読みの練習をしました。田舎へ野菜の収穫に行く収家族のことを読みました。また、読んだ内容について多くの質問をして、内容理解を深めました。 「He」や「They」の代名詞の焦点を置きました。文法では、名詞と動詞を引き続き行っています。 「Find Something ____（○○なものを見つける）」といったアクティビティを行い、1人の生徒が全員に何かを見つける指示をしました。たとえば、「Find something blue (青いものを探してください)」などです。また、[Simon says」のゲームを通して動詞の意味確認を行いました。ノートにで使用した単語を名詞と動詞に分類して書いています。

ASP Classes – Advanced アフタースクール小学生アドバンスクラス
Advanced 1A
This week, we covered plural nouns and grammar from page 8 in our “Our World 2” textbooks. ! We were able to have fun with those topics with a variety of activities covering those grammar points, such as In-House Scavenger Hunts and picture drawing games! The In-House Scavenger hunt was fun because students were able to introduce various things from within their home to their classmates, such as favorite toys, books, and clothes. Some students from different schools even had the same favorite books and toys, so it was a great way for everyone to get to create a closer connection with each other!
We also read a couple of interesting stories, including one about spider webs and why they are important. We also reviewed counting up to 20 from page 9 of the Our World books, and practiced counting in different ways (such as even and odds), and even read a book about a witch and her magical pies, which featured a counting component that introduced some new fantasy vocabulary to the students as well.
The homework for this week is page 2 and 3 from the Our World workbook, and I think just about every student should be able to do it without too many issues. -Kurt
今週は複数形の名詞や文法の学習を致しました。テキストは、Our World 2のテキストブック8ページを使用しています。ここで習ったお家でできるアクティビティについてトピックや文法を含めた学習をレッスンではゲームで楽しむことができました。お家でできるScavenger Huntsという宝探しゲームやヒントについての絵を書いたりしたりなどを楽しみましたね。
Scavenger Huntsではお家にある様々なものについて違う校舎のお友達同士に紹介したりと交流がたくさんありとても有意義で楽しい時間になりましたね。好きなおもちゃやお気に入りの本や洋服を紹介したりとみんながつながり距離を近く感じオンラインならでは貴重な時間となりとてもよかったです。
また様々な興味深い物語について読みましたね。蜘蛛の網がなぜ重要かについて学びました。そしてOur World booksの9ページからは20まで数える数について復習した後に、足したり、平等にしたりなどの算数も英語で学びました。そして数を数えたり新しいファンタスティックな単語を学べる魔女とマジカルパイについての物語も読みました。
さて今週の宿題は、Our World workbookの2ページと3ページです。こちらは皆さん問題なく進めて頂ける内容だと思います。

Advanced 1B
This week, we had a lot of fun. It was great to get to know everyone better. We got to chat and have some fun with a game called two truths and a lie. We told a funny story and learned about family members. We practiced blends in phonics by playing a game with cups and a ball. We also practiced introducing ourselves, and saying where we are from. We did some reading, and talked about inline skating. We also had fun chatting among our friends. See you again in May -Kori
今週もとても楽しかったです。みなさんをより良く知ることができて嬉しかったです。
私たちはおしゃべりをし、「Two Truths and A Lie 2つの真実と１つの嘘」というゲームを楽しみました。面白い話をしあって、お互いの家族のことを学びました。カップとボールを使ったゲームではフォニックスのブレンドを練習しました。また、自己紹介や出身地についても話しました。リーディングをし、インラインスケートについて話しました。また、友達同士でおしゃべりを楽しめましたね。５月にまた会いましょう。

Advanced 2A
It’s been a great second week in Advance 2A! We practiced our memories by looking at a picture for 30 seconds and naming everything we could remember. We practiced our pronouns with another memory game, as everyone had to show an object and the next person had to remember what object it was. We also learned about ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd) with some fun Disney and Animal quizzes. We read about water parks and animal senses. And we even learned about how to be nice by saying nice things. See you again after Golden Week! Teacher Ian
アドバンス2Aの2週目では、写真を30秒間見た後に、中にあった思い出せるものすべてを言いました。代名詞を別の記憶ゲームで練習しました。１人がひとつのアイテムを見せ、次の人達はそれが何だったかを覚えていなけれいけないルールです。ディズニークイズと動物クイズで序数（1、2、3）についても楽しく学びました。ウォーターパークと動物達の感覚についてのリーディングもしました。更に、褒め合うことで人に親切になれるということについても学びました。
ゴールデンウィークの後でまたお会いしましょう！

Advanced 2B
It was great seeing everyone this week! This week we studied the long a sound in phonics, using three forms: ai, ay, and a_e. We learned some new vocabulary, like “collection,” “plush toys,” and “stamps.” Some of us even shared the collections we have. We also played a matching game to practice large numbers. We also reviewed some adjectives, like “often,” and “sometimes.” We read about different topics, like the Brooklyn Bridge and elephants. -Kori

今週は、ai、ay、a_eの3つのフォニックスルールを使用して、長母音を学びました。 「Collection収集物」「plush toys ぬいぐるみ」「stamps 切手・スタンプ」などの新しい語彙を学びました。一部の人には、持っているコレクションを共有もしてもらいましたほか、マッチングゲームでたくさんの練習をしました。 「often よく」や「sometimes ときどき」などの形容詞も復習しましたたり、ブルックリンブリッジや象など、さまざまなトピックについて読みました。
