Takinomizu might be a small school but we are big on physical activities. Every morning we practice Yoga, let’s move our bodies and get ready for the day.
Yoga helps strengthen children’s growing bodies and helps them improve their flexibility, which can reduce their chance of injury.
It also increases children’s body awareness, which is an important skill for them to learn during preschool. By going through a variety of yoga poses our children can learn about their bodies and how they move.
Yoga not only benefits our bodies but our minds too, it helps our students concentrate and get ready for the preschool day ahead. They are more focused during the day and we have seen vast improvements in our students behaviour.
Why don’t you ask your child to show you some of the yoga moves we do in class and see if you can join in too.
