Learning English Through Stories, Weather, and Fun Places!🌤️🎭

Our Advance 1B students had an exciting and engaging lesson as we explored Unit 4 of Oxford Buzz 3! This unit took us on a language adventure through fun places, the days of the week, and different kinds of weather — giving our students plenty of opportunities to build their vocabulary and use English in meaningful ways.

🏰 Where would you like to go?

From a wildlife park and swimming pool to an adventure playground, castle, skate park, fair, café, and bowling alley, our students explored a variety of places where people go to have fun. As they learned and reviewed the new vocabulary, they practiced recognizing the words and connecting them to familiar places and experiences.

🌦️ Monday, Tuesday… What’s the Weather Like?

We also reviewed the days of the week, from Monday to Sunday, and expanded our weather vocabulary with words such as sunny, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy, and foggy . These everyday expressions are an important part of helping children talk about their surroundings, describe the weather, and communicate more confidently in English.

📖 Story Time: “Anton’s Day Out”

The highlight of our lesson was reading “Anton’s Day Out.” After reading the story together, the students worked through the textbook exercises to check their understanding of the story and its details. But we didn’t stop at reading!

 

🎭 From Readers to Storytellers!

Next, our students brought the story to life through role-play! By acting out the events, they had the chance to use their English in a more active and expressive way. They practiced following the story, remembering what happened, and working together to bring each part to life.

To wrap up the session, the students took part in a group presentation, sharing what they had practiced and learned throughout the lesson. It was a wonderful opportunity to their language skills with teamwork, cooperation, and confidence combine in front of others.
