Dear Parents and family members,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok3vNWbdkxQ
Greeting, I hope you all are well and safe during this time.  We here at No Borders truly miss our students and are very excited to see you all again soon.  As we have been monitoring the situation, and following the decision last week by the Aichi government to continue the school closure through the end of May, No Borders has also decided to remain closed for the safety of our students and staff.
This was truly a decision that was difficult to make.  As educators, our passion and hope is to be with the students, especially in times like this our hearts are with you all.  This announcement contains all the information you need to know for your child depending on what course they are enrolled.  Please read carefully and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me atkenngale@noborders.jp.
One Important thing I would like to stress is the importance for the student to continue to have as much normal routine as possible.  Therefore, we are continuing our online courses, which have proven to be a valuable resource during this time.  While I agree, I want to get back to normal classes as soon as possible, your child’s education is of the highest value and must continue.  I was so happy with how many people signed up for our online courses and I encourage the rest of your to sign up for May if you have not done so already.  It is sure to be a great time for your students and allow them to interact with their classmates and teachers.
We have made many exciting improvements and programs for the students online for May, which you are sure to appreciate.  We will offer almost a complete and normal curriculum even though it is online, so we do not want the students to fall behind, which is why continuing education is so important.
PRESCHOOL UPDATE:
As of now our preschool is completely closed in May including the emergency daycare.  We are no longer providing that as we want to be as safe as possible for our students and staff.  However, for May we will be providing some basic free mini lessons for parents to watch with their toddlers during this time.  Information will be coming to all preschool parents with the link to join the class in May, as well as the schedule of what days and what times for you and your toddler to join.  There is no need to sign up for this or decline this, a link will be sent to all, and the service is free, so if you are available please join.
KINDER COURSE UPDATE:
As mentioned, we will be continuing our online course.  We have increased the content and activities.  Also to keep it as much as normal class style as possible, we are having monthly calendars with special events and show and tell and guest speakers.  We will also be following our normal curriculum as much as possible and focusing on more interaction with each student. Online courses will start on May 7th.  Unless we hear from you by May 1st, we will assume you will be joining the class.  As of now, about 85% are registered and I truly hope we will get 100% so we can all be growing and learning together.  Also, we will reduce the fee again to 33,000 to further support our families.  Please email me directly if you have any questions or comments. Further information will be coming.  Also, we are mailing packets to all families with worksheets which we will be doing online during the lessons and we have put together a packet of extra worksheets for your child to do out of class on their time for fun and further practice of their skills.
Let’s get through this together and I hope you are all safe and healthy.  We are here for you if you need anything.  We will spend the next several years together as a community training your child, so times like this, we need to work together.  Please let me know what I can do for you.
