楽しくゴールデンウィークを過ごせましたか？そうだといいな！皆が元気に戻ってきてくれてうれしいです。今回はゴールデンウィークの前の最後のレッスンから引き続き、ユニット１の学習内容をおこなっており、ユニット１が終了するまであと1週間です。皆さんの努力する姿に大変感銘を受けました。引き続き一生懸命やってくださいね！ユニット１では、Kinka、Pinka、Billy、Bettyが出てきて紹介をお手伝いしてくれ、フォニックスや ‘stop、look、ready、go！‘や ‘here you are、thank you’ don ‘のような新しい曲を教えてくれました。これまでに行った曲やフォニックストラックを練習したい場合は、Happy Valley には付属CDがあるのでぜひご活用ください。オンラインレッスンに参加するために時間と労力を費やしてくれている保護者の皆さまに心から感謝しています。

Did everyone have a great Golden Week? I hope so! I’m glad everyone is back and doing so well. We have been continuing on with our last lessons before Golden week and only have one more week left until unit 1 is finished! I’m very impressed with everyone’s effort, please continue to do a great job. During unit 1, Kinka, Pinka, Billy and Betty have been helping us practice our introductions, teaching us phonics and all sorts of new songs like ‘stop, look, ready, go!’ and ‘here you are, thank you’ Don’t forget you have your Happy Valley CD’s at home if you wish to practice any of the songs and phonics tracks we have done so far. A special thank you to all the mums and dads for putting in time and effort towards our online lessons.

今週は先週に引き続き、乗り物について学んで楽しみました。みんな本当によく単語を覚えています。多くの生徒が質問に答えてどんどん参加してくれる様子が見られます。木曜日には、マイク講師がどの乗り物に乗っていたかを推測する新しいゲームも試しましたが、とっても上手に答えられましたよ！フォニックスも、みんな大変大きな進歩を遂げています。取り組んでいる文字はp、b、aですが、子どもたちは音を組み合わせて簡単な単語を作ることも非常に上手に行っています。この調子で毎週英語で学び遊んで、たくさん楽しんでほしいと思います。

This week we had a lot of fun again with vehicles. Everyone has really been doing well with all the vocabulary. It seems that we all like to answer questions and get involved in the class. On Thursday, we also tried a new game where the kids had to guess which vehicle Mike was in. They did very well! Everyone is also making a lot of progress with the phonics. The letters we are working on are p, b, and a again, but the kids are also doing really well with putting the sounds together to make some simple words. Let’s keep up the momentum, and let’s keep up having a lot of fun every week learning and playing in English. -Mike

今週は、朝食に食べる物の語彙を学ぶ、楽しい時間を過ごしました。みんなで言葉をたくさん練習し覚えられました。 「Here you are はい、どうぞ」「Thank you どうもありがとう」「You are welcome どういたしまして」の練習もしました。また、子どもたちはカメラに向かって質問に答えることにより慣れてきてくれています。フォニックスも皆とても上手です。きっと、フォニックスの歌で、マイク講師の特別バージョンも覚え始めてくれるのでは！？単語サーチではみんなとっても早く終えられて、びっくりしました。仕上げに「No、David」という楽しい本を読みました。シンプルな話ですが楽しみ、それについて深く議論を交わすことができました。来週またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

This week we had another fun day learning and using breakfast food vocabulary. The kids got a lot of practice with their words, and definitely memorising them. We also got some practice with “Here you are”, “thank you”, and “you’re welcome”. In addition, the kids are getting more comfortable answering questions on camera. Everyone is also doing very well with the phonics. Maybe they will start to learn Mike’s version of the phonics song too! The word search was finished by everyone so quickly. It was a little surprising. To finish off class, we read a great book called “No, David”. The kids really could enjoy the simple story and have some limited discussion on it. Looking forward to seeing you again next week. -Mike

今週は、文字と数字を学ぶ楽しいレッスンでした。B book、G Gorilla、T tiger、D dog、C cat を練習しました。また、Aa、Ee、Ii、Oo、Uuの母音のほか、16までの数字と色を復習しました。数字や色もみなさん大変上手です。色探しゲームはとても楽しく、みんな、私が伝えた色の何かを、周囲から素早く見つけてくれて、びっくりしました。レッスンの最後のパートでは、今までに学習しているアルファベットと新しく学習した単語のディクテーション（読み上げられた単語を書き取ること）をしてレッスンを終えています。来週またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

This week we had another fun day learning letters and numbers. The kids got to practice B book, G gorilla, T tiger, D dog and C cat. We also reviewed the vowels Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, Uu. In addition, we reviewed numbers up to 16 and colors. Everyone is also doing very well with the numbers and colors. The colors hunt was very fun and everybody was quick at finding objects at home that have the color I call. It was a little surprising. To finish off class, we did dictation of old and new letters. Looking forward to seeing you again next week. -Sam

今週のレッスンでは、たくさんのことを学び、大変楽しい時間と学びがありました。まず最初にウォームアップとして講師とのコミュニケーションから始め、それから新しい学習コンテンツの習得に移りました。Home bookの4ページ上での学習を「私は、____です」などについて復習しました。そのあとは、「私は、____です」というフレーズにおいて、動物のリストを作成し自己紹介をし、それから学んだ内容を使ってパントマイムゲームを行いました。お友達をどの動物を演じているかを当てたりなどと大変楽しい時間になりました。次にOxford Children’s Picture Dictionaryの2ページと3ページにあるアルファベットを使って隠された文字が何かのアクティビティもしました。現在、習得したフォニックスルールの知識を使って様々な単語を読むことを練習しています。よくがんばってくれていますね。多くの皆さんがアクティビティに参加してくれて大変楽しかったです。Class book16ページのも学習しましたね。また来週お会いしましょう。
This week’s lesson was full of fun and learning as we moved quickly through a number of tasks. First, students began with a little conversation with the teacher before diving into more academic work. We reviewed “I’m a ____” by completing the writing tasks on page four of the Home Book. After this, students were introduced to the phrase “You are a _____.” We studied it in the textbook before making a list of animals we know and playing a mime game. Students also participated and acted out various animals that their friends tried to identify. We identified missing letters in the alphabet displayed on pages two and three of the Oxford Children’s Picture Dictionary. Students continued by working on their ability to read out phonic sounds by creating nonsense words, as we do often in class. We finished by completing a writing task on page sixteen of our Class Book, which students participated well in. This week’s lesson will continue on May 7 and 8 after Golden Week, so if you came to class on April 27, we hope to see you again then! 皆さんこんにちは！今週は、「彼は_______」と「私は_________」「彼は何をしているの？彼はボクシングをしている！」という新しい文法ポイントに焦点を当てつつ、「ビーチ」で楽しい時間を過ごしました。 それからみんなお互いの名前を学び「これは____、私の名前は_______」というフレーズでお互いを紹介し合いました。彼女は________できます、私は________できます。」と言って、お互いについて学びました。レッスンを終えて「彼女は何をしていますか？（彼女は）座っています」と、アポストロフィを注意深く書きました。ゴールデンウィークの後に皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています！

We had fun doing charades using our green screen, asking “what’s he doing? He’s boxing!” Then the students all learned each others’ names and they introduced each other with the phrase “This is ____, my name is _______” We also talked about the things each of us can do, as the kids learned about each other and said “She can ________, I can ________”. We finished out our lesson with some writing – “What’s she doing? She’s sitting” making careful note of the apostrophes. It was a great time this week and I look forward to seeing you all after Golden Week! Teacher IanHi everyone! 今週は「Our World 2」の12ページと13ページでさまざまな教室での活動について説明しています。 14ページと15ページの歌も一緒に歌ってみました！自分たちが好きなことを振り返りながら、これらのアクションについてジャーナルで書きました（たとえば「プリキュアの写真に色を付けるのが好きなので、好きなことは色を塗ることです」など）。洞窟で宝物を探す忍者のふりをしたり、形を使って数独の基礎を一緒に学んだり、などの楽しいアクティビティもしました！楽しい「Vook」（Vook.comのビデオストーリーブック）の「学校の初日」を読みました。これは、学校での友達と新しく知り合うことについてでしたね。
今週の宿題は「Our World 2」ワークブックの4、5、6ページです。

This week, we delved into describing different classroom actions on pages 12 and 13 in the “Our World 2” book. We also tried to sing our own song together using the lyrics on page 14 and 15! We wrote about these actions in our journals, as we reflected on the kinds of things we liked to do ourselves (for example: “My favorite thing to do is coloring because I love to color Pretty Cure pictures.”). We did some additional fun activities as well, such as playing a game where we pretended to be ninjas looking for treasure in a cave, and using shapes to learn the basics of Sudoku together! We also read a fun “Vook” together (a video storybook from Vook.com). We read “School’s First Day of School”, which is all about a new school getting to know the kids attending it.
Our homework for the week was page 4, 5, and 6 from the “Our World 2” workbook. -Kurt

みなさん、こんにちは！楽しいゴールデンウィークになったことを望みます。今週は、Simon Saysと動物クイズの2つのゲームで楽しく始まりました。そして「protect 保護」といった新しい語彙を使用して、動物の世話をする方法について学習しました！動物のお世話をする歌も歌いました、誰にでも優しくするためにどんなことを人々に伝えられるか、どんな良いことができるか、の議論を交わしました。レッスン終了間近には、極小の世界も覗いてみました。電子顕微鏡で、ある物を見た後に実際の物体を推測していきました。とても楽しいレッスンでした。次またお会いできることを楽しみにしています！

Welcome back everyone, I hope you had a fun Golden Week! We had a great time this week, starting off with a couple of games – Simon Says, and an animal quiz. Then we moved on to learning about how to care for animals, with new vocabulary like “protect”! We leapt from there into a discussion of how to be nice to people and what kinds of nice things we can say, before jumping into a cool song about taking care of animals. We finished off our lesson by jumping into the micro world, guessing what an object was after looking at it under a digital microscope. It was a fun lesson this week and I’m looking forward to the next! Ian
