What another great week, everyone has been doing so well! Unit 2 has started and we got to learn many new things. Our new story was about Kinka and Pinka looking at things in the Happy valley garden. “What is it?” “it’s a…..”
We saw 4 new vocab words like house, rainbow, tree, flower. Can you remember the movements? Our phonics is going really well and everybody is sticking their stickers great. The focus currently is c, d, e. Let’s continue on next week with big smiles, lots of fun and dancing. See you next week.

また素晴らしい一週間となりました。皆さん、大変頑張ってやっています！ユニット2が始まり、新しいことをたくさん学ぶことができました。新しいストーリーは、Happy Valleyのお庭であれこれ観察をしているキンカとピンカについてでした。 “それは何ですか？” “それは…..” 家、虹、木、花、の４つの新しい単語を見つけました。それぞれの動きを覚えているかな？フォニックスは大変上手に習得してくれていて、みんなステッカーを貼れました。現在のポイントは c、d、e です。来週も、笑顔でダンスを楽しみましょう。また来週。

This week we worked with destinations, and we’ll also be working on using “Let’s go”. Some of the words are a little tough to learn, like aquarium, but the kids are really doing well, and are excited to show off what they know when we play games. The kids also did very well with the phonics of the letter c, g, and o. We continue working on making words with this week’s letters and last unit’s letters as well. Everyone is definitely making progress on forming CVC words. Great work. As usual, we also enjoyed the story with Kinka and Pinka, singing, fingerplays, and finding and showing. Next week will be our last online lesson, so let’s have a lot of fun. -Mike
今週は目的地について学びました。また「Let’s go」の使用にも取り組みました。「Aquarium 水族館」のように、覚えるのが少し難しい単語もありますが、子供たちは本当に大変よくできています。ゲームをするときには、何を知っているかを一生懸命になって共有してくれます。文字 c、g、o のフォニックスも大変頑張りました。今週のアルファベットと最後のユニットのアルファベットを使った言葉作りにも引き続き取り組んでいます。みんな正しく理解でCVC単語（子音＋母音＋子音）の形成を進めています。素晴らしい！いつものように、キンカとピンカとの物語、歌、指遊び、他、見つけたり共有したり、と忙しく参加してくれました。来週は最後のオンラインレッスンになるので、楽しみましょう。

“Let’s draw!” “Let’s play!” “Let’s sing!” “Ok/no thanks”
Everyone answered the questions very well, I was very impressed. Now that Unit 2 has started we will be focusing a lot more on our core questions and vocabulary. A lot of students are becoming more confident with answering questions and participating in all activities. This week’s phonics focus was c, g, o. Everyone is doing very well at the phonics pronunciation song and also doing well at completing book work at a good speed. Next week we will continue on with unit 2 and even try some new songs and activities.See you next week.

皆が質問にとてもよく答えてくれました。ユニット2がスタートしたので、さらに内容深い質問と語彙力を養っていきますよ。多くの皆さんが質問に答え、アクティビティに参加し、自信もついてきた様子です。今週のフォニックスは c、g、o でした。皆さんがフォニックスの発音曲を上手に歌えていて、ブックワークの作業も速いスピードで完成させてもくれます。来週はユニット2を続行、いくつか新しい歌やアクティビティを試します。また来週お会いしましょう。

Kinder Optional
After another fun week, the students are learning a lot! During the phonics portion of this class, students were introduced to the short vowel “u” sound. All students demonstrated knowledge of the content as they correctly identified the new vocabulary and the “u” sound associated with them. Some students are starting to identify the words themselves, as opposed to only the pictures. We then practiced writing related to the short “u” sound in our textbooks. During the speaking and conversation portion of our class, students practiced greetings and basic conversation. They then watched a puppet scene modeled by our characters, Sami and Bob. After listening to the characters, we talked some more about things we like and have. Most students were able to read and identify names of months as we reviewed the calendar as well, which was very exciting! Thank you for your hard work, everyone! – Nate
再度楽しい週となった今週も、みんなたくさん勉強しています！今回、フォニックスでは、短母音「u」の音を紹介されました。新しい語彙とそれに関連する「u」の音を、みなさん、大変よく理解していました。何名かは絵のみならず、自分の力で単語を識別し始めています。教科書でも、短母音 “u”の音に関するライティングを練習しました。スピーキングと会話の部分では、挨拶と会話の基本を練習しました。私たちのキャラクターであるサミとボブをモデルにした人形の場面を見ました。登場人物達の話を聞いた後、好きなものや持っているアイテムについて深めて話しました。カレンダーを復習しましたが、ほとんどの生徒は月の名前を正しく覚えていました。みなさん、頑張りましたね！

ASP Classes – Elementary:
Foundation
Once again, we had a lot of fun learning, singing, dancing and playing together. I am blown away every time by the kids energy and level of enthusiasm. This week we studied the letters Ss, Dd, Bb, and Gg and their anchor words sock, dog, book and gorilla. We also reviewed the vowels and the letters we did the weeks before. We learned the days of the week and how to say today is…, yesterday was… and tomorrow is… We practiced numbers up to 20 and learned to answer basic questions like What’s your name? How are you? How old are you? What color do you like? and What food do you like? We practiced directions “up, down left and right” through a fun game that kids loved. We played other games as well, like charade, Simon says and I spy. But, the kids favorite game so far was the concentration game. Have a great weekend and see you next week. next week is our last online week. So, let’s enjoy it fully.

今週も、みんなで一緒にたくさん楽しみ、学び、歌い、踊り、演奏しました。毎回、みんなのエネルギーと熱意にびっくりします。今週は、Ss、Dd、Bb、Ggの文字と、各々のアンカーワードとなる socks 靴下、dog 犬、book 本、gorillas ゴリラ、を学びました。また、しばらく前に導入している母音と文字も確認しました。曜日と、「今日は＿＿＿曜日です」「明日は＿＿曜日です」「昨日は__曜日です」と、言い方を学びました。最大20の数字を練習しました。「What is your name? あなたの名前は何ですか？」［How are you お元気ですか？How old are you? あなたは何歳ですか？What color do you like? 君は何色がすき？What food do you like? どんな食べ物が好きですか？］といった基本的な質問への答え方を改めて学びました。みんなが大好きな楽しいゲームを通して「上下・左右」の方向を練習しました。「シャレード」「Simon Says」「I spy」などの他のゲームも楽しみましたが、一番人気はおそらく「集中ゲーム」でしょうか。また素敵な週末をお過ごしください。来週またお会いしましょう。来週は最後のオンライン週なので、たくさん楽しんみましょう。

What another great week! Students were introduced to the question form of the content from previous lessons. Students began with “You are ___.” This week, we’ve moved onto “Are you ____?” Many students quickly understood how to use the language and demonstrated it well during the lesson. The conversational aspect of this lesson was important for students and I’m looking forward to seeing how they progress in future lessons. Students mimed different animals and their peers interacted with them in guessing what animal they were pretending to be. Students were also exposed to the phrase “I can see ______.” We then practiced the written form of the target language in our textbooks. Overall, the students performed and practiced well. また素晴らしい一週間でした！前回のレッスン内容の疑問形に映りました。「You are あなたは___」で始まったのが、今週は、「Are you ? あなたは____ですか？」に移りました。多くのみなさんはその使い方をすぐに理解し、早速上手に実践していました。この会話は大変重要なものです。今後のレッスンでみんながどう進歩していくか見ることを楽しみにしています。みんな、様々な動物を真似ている友達を見て、なんの動物なのかを当て合い、その中で「I can see ____（____が見えます」というフレーズも学びました。その後、教科書でターゲットの内容を書く練習しました。全体的にみなさん大変上手にこなしていました。頑張りましたね！

Hey everyone, we had a fun time this week. We learned all about present continuous verbs, by playing a game where the students had to guess what a picture was doing. “Is it surfing?” “Is it running?”. Then, after some phonics review, we learned about the phrase “I want…” The students asked each other questions about what food they wanted to eat, like sushi or noodles. Then we moved into another guessing game, where the students had to guess what I wanted to eat as I drew it, with “do you want…?” Finally we practised our writing, writing sentences like “Is she coloring? Yes she is” The students worked really hard on their writing and their speaking this week. I was really impressed. I’m looking forward to next week! Ian
みなさん、こんにちは！今週も楽しい時間を過ごしました。全員で、「サーフィンしている？」 「走っている？」などと、何をしている絵かをなのかを当てるゲームして、現在進行形を学びました。 フォニックスの復習の後、「I want ___～が欲しいです」というフレーズを学びました。寿司や麺類など、どんな食べ物を食べたいかについて互いに質問し合いました。そまたして別の当てっこゲームに移りました。そこで、僕が描いた絵をみんなに、”Do you want …?○○が食べたいの？”と言って当てるチャレンジをしました。最後に、「Is she colorring?彼女は色ぬりをしていますか？」「Yes she is, そうです、しています」と文章を書く練習をしました。生徒たちは今週、ライティングにスピーキングにと、一生懸命取り組んでいました。すごい！また来週が楽しみです！

It was great to see everyone again this week as we continued practicing content learned last week. Students introduced themselves and quickly dove right into identifying activities one does in the morning by looking at different scenes shown to the class by the teacher. This included activities such as brushing their teeth, brushing their hair, getting up, eating breakfast, etc. Students reviewed rooms in the house (i.e. bedroom, kitchen, etc) before reading through our Fun Phonics Reader story. Students read very well. After reinforcing the content by writing on page seven of our Home Book, students practiced identifying afternoon activity scenes with a memory game. またみんなに会えてうれしかったです。先週の内容を再度練習した一週間です。自己紹介し、今までにクラスでカバーしてきた様々な場面を見て、朝に何をするかを言い当てました。歯を磨く、髪をとかす、起きる、朝食を食べる、などが含まれます。家にある部屋（寝室、キッチンなど）を確認した後、Fun Phonics Readerのストーリーを読みました。みんなとてもよく読んでいます。ホームブックの7ページにライティングをして内容理解を深めた後は、「記憶ゲーム」で午後はどんなことをするかを学びました。全体的にみんなよく参加し、一生懸命にやっていました！ありがとうございました！

ASP Classes – Advanced
Advanced 1A
This week we practiced using plural nouns from pages 18 and 19, and we asked about different classroom tools that we could find in our homes. Then, after reading a story about paper art on page 20 in our textbooks, we used some of those tools (paper, pencils,and scissors) to make paper hand-puppets! Students made all different kinds of animals, and had fun decorating and introducing them to their fellow classmates. We also read a new story together called “Mickey and the Magic Beanstalk”, which is a fun Disney version of the classic “Jack and the Beanstalk” story. For homework, I encouraged everyone to do pages 9, 10, and 11 in the black and white workbook. Some kids forgot to do their homework last week, so I encouraged everyone to do it this week to make sure they get some more good writing practice in!

今週は18と19ページの複数の名詞を使って、各自、家にあるさまざまなアイテムについて質問しました。そして、教科書の20ページにあるペーパーアートの話を読んだ後、そこに出てきたツール（紙、鉛筆、はさみ）を使ってハンドパペットを作りました。みんな、色々な種類の動物を作り、クラスメートに飾り付けたり見せあいっこしたりして楽しんでいました。また、「ジャックと豆の木」の楽しいディズニー版「ミッキーと魔法の豆の木」という新しいストーリーも一緒に読みました。全員に白黒のワークブックの9、10、11ページを実行するように勧めています。先週は宿題をし忘れたお友達もいるので、もっと良いライティングの練習ができるように、今週はみんなに頑張ってみよう！

Thank you for another great week! This week, we discussed whether the pool or the park is more fun. Everybody had very interesting ideas. After that, we drew our own family trees. Because this unit is all about the people in our family, this was a great chance to use and review all the vocabulary we learned. We also reviewed the country names that we learned last week, including “Kenya, Poland ad England.” We looked at pages 12 and 13 in our All Together 2 textbooks for some listening, vocabulary and writing practice. I’m glad that everyone was able to introduce their families, and start to remember the different countries we studied. See you again next week! Kori
素晴らしい週をありがとうございました！今週は、プールと公園のどちらの方が楽しいか討論しました。みんな非常に興味深いアイデアを共有してくれました。その後、各々、家系図を描きました。このユニットでは「家族」にまつわることがテーマです。このアクティビティでは今までに学んだ語彙の数々の応用練習をする絶好の機会となりました。また、「ケニア、ポーランド、イングランド」など、先週学んだ国名も復習しました。 All Together 2の教科書の12ページと13ページで、リスニング、語彙、ライティングの練習をしました。皆が各々の家族を紹介し合ったり、さまざまな国をの名前を覚えることができ嬉しく思います。また来週お会いしましょう！

Advanced 2A
Hey everyone! We had a fantastic week, with lots of interesting activities. We began by making a story together, with each student writing a sentence of the story. We ended up with a story about a girl named “eeeeh?” who was injured in the park, but didn’t let that stop her from being happy and playing again! We then learned about the words “never”, “sometimes”, “usually”, and “always”. The students came up with their own sentences, like “I never eat my Switch” and “I always do my homework”. We moved on to learning about the times we do things, using a true false quiz. Then the kids asked each other about what time they did things every day. We then read a story about elephants, before finally talking about our opinions of a funny video we watched together. It was a great time this week, and I’m looking forward to next week!
みなさん、こんにちは！！またしても素晴らしい一週間でしたね。面白いアクティビティをたくさんしました。一緒に物語を作ることから始め、自分達で文章を作成していき、 「ええええ？！」という名前の女の子の話を作ることに！公園でケガをしたりしながらも、楽しく遊び続けるというものです！次に、「never」「sometimes」「usually」「always」という頻度を表す単語について学びました。「自分のニンテンドースイッチは食べたことがない」「いつも宿題をしている」など、の各々に文章を考えていました。True False Quize（まったくもって偽のクイズ）をして、日々していることの時間について学びました。毎日何時に何をしているのかを尋ね合いました。次に、象についての話を読み、最後に、一緒に見たビデオについての意見交換をしました。今週もまた素晴らしい時間となりました。また来週を楽しみにしています！

Thank you for another great week. This week, we focussed on giving longer, more informative answers. We talked about using five sentences to answer a question, using the form: answer, three reasons, then restate the answer. For example, if the questions was “Would you rather go to the park or the pool?” the answer could be something like, “I would rather go to the pool. The pool is fun. You can go to the pool with friends. You can jump in the pool. So, I would rather go to the pool.” This was a bit challenging for the students, so we will keep practicing again next week. After that, we studied grammar. We built silly sentences by putting together a noun, a verb, and another noun. For example, “The fox drank the car.” We tried writing down our silly sentences. We also review the hobbies vocabulary, including “archery, bow, arrow, and binoculars.” Finally, we reviewed our reading from last week about solids and liquids, by playing a game called “Solid or Liquid?” where the students guess what I had in my cup. Elementary Optional
It is really fun talking with you every week. This week, we read a story about a talking parrot that got lost. We practiced pronouns like “it” and “she.” We learned some new vocabulary, like “stranger” and “return.” After that, we continued reading our book, The Princess in Black. This week, we read chapter three together. We are excited to find out what the monster will do next. After that, we moved onto our grammar section. We continued talking about the three types of nouns – people, places and things. We completed a worksheet where we had to find all the nouns and figure out what type they were.
毎週みなさんと話すのは本当に楽しいです。今週は、迷子になったオウムの話を読みました。 「It それ」や「She 彼女」などの代名詞を練習しました。 「Stranger 知らない人」や「Return 戻る」などの新しい語彙を学びました。その後、「Princess in Black」の本を読みました。今週は、第3章を一緒に読んでいます。モンスターが次に何をするのか、が分かるので興奮していました。その後、文法をしています。人、場所、物という3種類の名詞について話しました。名詞をすべて見つけて、どのタイプに属するかを把握するワークシートに取り組んでいます。
