Saturday School: サタデースクールコース
Saturday – Kinder Basic
Thanks for another great week everybody! It was great to see the progress everyone has made already. And it was so fun today. We had a new teacher, Kori, join Lucas today, and it was a lot of fun! In circle time, we covered the days of the week, the months and the weather. We sang some fun songs, including the Pinocchio, Baby Shark, the Stretching Song, and Jumping Jacks. We reviewed the language we have been studying. We said sentences like “This is my mommy,” and “this is my sister.” We shared the drawings of our families we made last week. We also tried to say more difficult sentences, like “He is under the table,” and “he is under the bed.” I’m so happy we could say these difficult sentences! We also practiced our phonics with a game called ‘What’s Missing?” We practiced tracing the letters, and we tried writing them by ourselves. We also tried so reading, with long, silly words like “cacacacaca” and “fafafafafa.” We read From Head to Toe, and moved around like donkeys, monkeys, and giraffes. We sang a lot of fun songs, like the Party Freeze Game and the Hopping Skipping Song. See you again next week！
皆さん、素敵な一週間をありがとう！みんなの進歩が見えて本当に嬉しかったです。今日はとても楽しいレッスンでした。今日は新しくコーリ先生がルーカス先生に加わり、楽しく過ごしました！サークルタイムでは、曜日、月、天気をおさらいしました。「ピノキオ」「ベイビーシャーク」「ストレッチソング」「ジャンピングジャック」など楽しい曲を歌いました。今までに出てきている言語の復習し、 「This is my mother こちらが私のお母さんです」「This is my big sister これが私のお姉さんです」といった文章を練習をしました。先週作った家族の絵を見せあいもしました。「He is under the table 彼はテーブルの下にいる」「He is under the bed 彼はベッドの下にいる」など、難易度の高い文章も練習しました。みんなが言えていたのでとてもうれしかったです！また、フォニックスを「What’s missign 何がないかな？」というゲームで練習しました。文字をなぞり、自分で書いてみました。また、「cacacacaca」や「fafafafafa」のような長くて面白い言葉を使って、読んでみる、応用練習もしました。 「From Head to Toe」の本を読み、ロバ、サル、キリンのように動いてみました。「パーティーフリーズゲーム」や「ホッピングスキッピングソング」など、楽しい曲をたくさん歌いました。また来週お会いしましょう！
Saturday – Kinder Upper
Today for circle time we asked “what’s your name” “how are you” we sang the hello song and the jumping jacks song. We talked about days of the week and months of the year. We found things in our house that were different colors like red, orange and black. We read Jimmy’s magic house and had the children explain what bug they saw and where the bug was in Jimmy’s house. Today we continued practicing the letters ABC, F and T. we practiced sight words “this” “is” “my” “cup”. We learned about prepositions on, in, under, next to… we also showed children different furniture in a house such as bed, pillow, dresser… We also talked about feelings and asked the children to show what they look like when having different feelings. We wrote the letter ABC, F and T in our notebooks and also the sight word “this”. We finished the day by reading the book “Big Bear Small Bear” Thankyou for joining us on this great Saturday! We can’t wait to see all of you again next week.
今日はサークルタイムで「What’s your name? お名前は？」「How are you? お元気ですか」から始め、「ハローソング」「ジャンピングジャックソング」を歌いました。曜日と月について話し、家の中で赤、オレンジ、黒といった色のものを見つけて見せ合いました。「Jimmy’s Magic House」の物語を読み、バグがジミーの家のどこにあったのか説明してもらいました。今日はA, B C, F、Tのアルファベットの練習をしました。「これ」「ある」「私の」「カップ」というサイトワードの練習をしました。「隣」「前」「下」などの前置詞について学び、ベッド、枕、ドレッサーなどのさまざまな家具を見ていきました。また、感情について話し、色々な感情でいる時の様子を表現してもらいました。ノートにABC、F、Tの文字を書き、また「this これ」を書きました。最後に「Big Bear Small Bear ビッグベアスモールベア」という本を読んで終了しました。土曜日にご参加いただきありがとうございます。来週またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
Saturday – Elementary Basic
It was good to see everyone again today! Today we covered our usual circle time but also had a weather report from Nadia in all the different weathers! Then we did some adding up in English and had to go and find the right number of items as the answer. We also had our art and writing class combined today, so we did some lovely drawings of animals. We even went to Jackie’s house to study what objects we find in the house. We went to the classroom and did our bookwork too, focusing on the phrases ‘It is’ = ‘It’s’ and ‘I am’ = ‘I’m’. We also studied adding ‘s’ to make words plural and practiced together. As well as reading the very hungry caterpillar together. We finished off with some dancing in the jungle with our special friend David. It was a really good day, and we hope you enjoyed it too! Looking forward to seeing you next time!

またお会いできて嬉しかったです！今日はいつものサークルタイムのほか、ナディア講師によるちょっと変わった天気予報もありました！英語での足し算を行い、正しい数の項目を答えとして見つけるチャレンジに挑みました。今日はアートとライティングを組み合わせ、動物の絵を描きました。ジャッキー講師の家を訪れ、何があるか調べました。教室に戻ってからは、「It is」=「It’s」と「I am」=「I’m」というフレーズに焦点を合わせて、本の作成も行いました。また、単語が複数になった時に「s」を追加することも学び、みんなで一緒に練習しました。「はらぺこ青虫」を、一緒に読むだけでなく、ジャングルの中で中でお友達になったDavidと踊りました。本当に楽しい一日でした。皆さんも楽しんでいただけたでしょうか！またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！

Saturday – Elementary Upper
We welcomed back the students after another week with conversation about what they did this week, and discussed weather around the world, and today’s date. We described what we were wearing, colors, patterns, and we began our story for this week. We reviewed phonics flashcards, and played a drawing game where the students had to guess what the drawing was, and write the name. After lunch, we discussed the theme of the story, “What I like/can do.” Each student shared something they liked or could do. Following that, we played our favorite quiz game, which incorporates reading, writing, and listening. The students were very engaged! Later, we revisited our story and asked related questions. In the later part of the day, we finished with a spot-the-difference game and I-spy, where the students chose something they saw, and other students had to guess what it was. Looking forward to seeing everyone next week!

今週一週間週何をしたか、世界中の天気と今日の日付について、などを話し合い、クラスがスタートしました。何を着ているか、色やデザインを説明をし合いました。フォニックスのフラッシュカードを復習し、その絵が何かを推測し、名前を書く、という描画ゲームをしました。昼食後は、物語のテーマである「好きなこと/できること」について話し合い、各々の好きなことやできることを共有しました。続いて、リーディング、ライティング、ディクテーションを組み合わせた楽しいクイズゲームをしました。みんなとても熱心に取り組んでいました！その後は、物語に戻って、関連する質問をし、答えました。午後に自分が見たものを選んで説明し、他のお友達がそれが何かを当てる、Spot the difference (間違いさがし）ゲームをしました。来週もまた皆さんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！

Saturday – Advanced
Today was another fun Saturday class! We started the day with our usual routine by doing some stretching, exercise and a dance with Mario! We discussed what a parade is and wrote/drew a kind of parade everyone might actually like. They were very engaged in sharing their thoughts. The kids were really creative with some of the “go get” activities. The kids liked getting something that smelled bad and they liked getting something that only they have! We also discussed the meaning of a setting and how to go about describing it. They then used that to tell everyone about a family trip they once had. We showed them some new vocabulary words, and we let them explain the meaning of each to get some valuable skills in describing things in English. After that, we let them write their own sentences using the vocabulary and everyone did a great job!. Everyone also had a lot of fun sending Christy to some funny places in the last part of class. It was funny to hear some of the kids’ comments. Everyone enjoyed the class and we enjoyed it as well! See you next Saturday! Mike and Christy
今日もまた楽しいサタデークラとなりました！マリオと一緒にストレッチ、エクササイズ、ダンスで1日スタートしましたよ！パレードとは何かについて話し合い、多くの人に好まれる種類のパレードについて書いたり絵にしたりしました。みんな各々の考えを伝えることに非常に熱心に取り組んでいました。また「Go Get」のアクティビティでは、テーマに沿ったものを「持ってくる」ということをし、今回は、「くさいもの」や「自分だけが持っているもの」を取りにいっては見せてくれました。また、「Setting 設定」の意味とその説明の仕方についても学びました。その上で、かつて行ったことのある場所について皆に話しました。新しい語彙とそれぞれの意味も学び、説明するスキルを養いました。その後、これらの単語を用いて独自の文章を書きましたが、みんなとてもよくできていました。クラスの最後には、Christy講師を面白い場所に送ってみたりして皆で楽しみました。みんなのコメントを聞くのはとても面白かったです。生徒も講師もみんなでクラスを楽しむことができました！また来週の土曜日にお会いしましょう！
