August has been a super fun month, we have learnt all about the olympics.
We learnt about lots of athletes and what sports they do.
8月は、オリンピックについてたくさん学べるとても楽しい月です。
沢山のアスリートについて、また彼らが何のスポーツをしているか学びました。
We have made lots of crafts related to the Olympics, we have made Olympic rings out of origami paper.
オリンピックに関係する沢山のクラフトを作って、折り紙でオリンピックリング（五輪）も作りました。
We heard lots of English, look it’s blue, look it’s red and I can see yellow. It is wonderful to hear them speaking English when they are doing a craft.
”見て！青だよ！” ”見て！赤だよ！” ”黄色だね”などと
沢山英語を聞くことができました。
子供たちがクラフトをやりながら英語を話しているのが聞けるのは
素晴らしいですね。
We made fireworks from our handprints, and we put it in the entrance so everyone can see our beautiful artwork.
ハンドプリントで花火も作りましたよ。
その素敵な作品がをみんなが見れるように玄関に飾りました。
We not only made crafts but we tried Olympic sports too.
First we tried running races, who can run super super fast?
They can cheer their friends on too.
クラフトをやっただけでなく、オリンピックのスポーツもやりました。
最初にかけっこをやりました。誰が一番早いかな？
お友達の応援もできましたよ。
Then they tried balancing on the beams like gymnasts.
Some of us had help from friends to make balancing easier.
次に体操選手みたいに平均台に挑戦しました。
お友達が手伝ってくれてバランスをとることができました。
We also played basketball, who can get the ball in the net?
I can, the students all shout, they can all throw really well.
バスケットボールもやりました。 誰がネットに入れることができるかな？
”私、できるよ！” とみんな大声で言って、
とても上手に投げることができました。
Our last sport was the long jump, how far can you jump? Can you jump 8 metres like the atheletes.
最後の種目は、走り幅跳びです。 どれだけ遠くまで飛べるかな？
アスリートのように8メートルジャンプできる？？？
August was a wonderful month, even though it is hot we can still have lots of fun in the classroom.
What will September bring?
８月はとても暑いけれど、たくさん教室で楽しむことができて
素晴らしい月でした。 ９月はどんな楽しいことがあるかな？
