The first article in this series is about one of my favorite educational apps ever. It has helped me at home with my kids’ education. It is an app that I use regularly and that I recommend to anybody who asks me about a way to support their kids reading. Especially for the parents who are not confident in their English reading skills.

まず、私のお気に入りの教育アプリについてです。
このアプリは、実際に自宅で自分の子供で使っていて、とても役に立っています。
特に、英語の読解力に自信がない保護者の方にとってはおすすめの教育アプリの一つです。
To help our students improve their literacy skills in a fun and engaging way at home, and to alleviate the burden of helping the kids to read at home. Today I’ll propose a great app that can do all of that and more. The app is called “Read Along by Google”. It’s an Android app (unfortunately, you can’t download it on the play store for iPhone/ iPad users) for children of 5 years old and older that helps them learn to read by giving verbal and visual feedback as they read stories out loud to the app.
英語を学ぶ学生、また自宅で英語を学習する子供達の「読み書き」の向上のために、楽しく魅力的な素晴らしいアプリで、「Read Along by Google」と言います。
このアプリは、5歳以上のお子様の音読をサポートするもので、（残念ながらiPhone/iPad等の端末ではダウンロードする事はできませんが、）Androidアプリで音声と視覚でフィードバックを提供する内容になっています。
The kids will build their reading skills as they read out loud, Diya (Their virtual reading buddy) will detect if your kid is struggling or successfully reading the passage. She will then give them positive feedback along the way, just as we would do here at school. Kids can also tap Diya at any time for help pronouncing a word or a sentence.
このアプリでは、ユーザーの子供達が声を出して読み上げるスキルを構築し「Diya」というキャラクターがうまく読めているか判断します。この「Diya」は、必要な時には前向きなフィードバックをしてくれるので、単語の発音や文章の読み方の助けが必要な際は、いつでも「Diya」をタップする事ができます。
Read Along will keep your kids engaged with a varied collection of interesting stories from around the world, and games sprinkled into those stories. Your kids’ experience is also personalized as the app recommends the right difficulty level of stories and games based on their reading level performance. Your kids can collect stars and badges as they learn, which motivates them to keep playing and reading.
ユーザーの子供達が楽しく学習できるように、このアプリには世界中の様々な物語や単語ゲームが収められています。また、アプリ内では子供のレベルに応じて物語やゲームの難易度がおすすめされ、進める毎に星やバッジを集める事ができ、子供達のモチベーションの維持にもつながります。
