Our students had an exciting lesson filled with fun games and activities! Today, we focused on reviewing familiar vocabulary, learning to read words, and recognizing the beginning sounds and letters R and L. Through obstacle courses, drawing activities, fishing games, and balloon challenges, the students had lots of opportunities to practice their English skills!

We started the lesson with an exciting flashcard obstacle course! We placed both previously learned and new flashcards on the floor, creating a fun pathway for the students to follow.

First, the students looked at the picture side of each flashcard and tried to identify the vocabulary. Then, we turned the cards over to show only the written words. This time, they had to read the words aloud as they moved along the course!

When two groups met, they played Rock, Paper, Scissors. Whoever lost had to return to the starting point and try again! Everyone enjoyed the friendly competition while practicing their vocabulary recognition and reading skills.

Next, we practiced reading and drawing! The students read vocabulary words such as carrot, rabbit, seven, and desk, then drew pictures to match each word.

This activity helped them connect the written words with their meanings and remember the vocabulary in a fun and creative way.

After that, we played a fishing game to review the letters R and L. Once the students reached the final line, they looked at different pictures and words and decided whether they started with R or L.

They then circled the correct letter on the whiteboard.

For example:

Rabbit – r, Lemon – l, Ring – r

The students had fun identifying the beginning letters while reviewing their vocabulary and practicing their pronunciation.

After our game, it was time to put what we had learned into practice! The students worked independently on their workbooks, looking at the words and writing either R or L in the correct spaces.

This gave everyone a chance to review the letters and sounds on their own while strengthening their reading and writing skills.

To end the lesson, we played another exciting game using a balloon! The students had to keep the game going, and whenever someone lost, they were given a reading challenge.

They had to read aloud and say the vocabulary words from the flashcards shown by the teacher. It was a great opportunity to review the words one more time and build confidence in reading English aloud!

Today’s lesson was full of movement and learning! The students practiced recognizing pictures, reading vocabulary words, matching words with their meanings, and identifying the beginning letters R and L.

Through different games and activities, they were able to practice both their vocabulary and phonics skills while having lots of fun.

Keep up the great work, everyone! Let’s continue learning and reading new English words together! 🎉
