Hello! This is No Borders International School Toyota.

For today`s vlog, we`re learning how to use “I want to…” and “I don`t want to…” to talk about things we would like or don`t like to do!

To start the lesson, we played a fun and exciting game!

The student had to use a hula hoop to pull a colorful ball and move it all the way to the finish line.

Once they reached the finish line, they made a sentence using our target phrases and wrote it in their notebooks such as, “I want to try goldfish scooping!” or “I don`t want to take pictures!” and many more!

We also made our own boarding passes! They got to pretend they were getting ready for their own trip while practicing the vocabulary and phrases we learned in class!

The students filled them out with their names, date and destination.

Then, they shared them in front of everyone to build confidence.

They were excited to share their destinations and show off their English-speaking skills!

They practiced saying things like,

“I want to go to… Thailand! Korea! Hawaii!” and

“My departure time is 12:00PM!”

We wrapped up the class with a country game! I called out different destinations like America, Africa, Italy, China and many more and the students answered using “I want to go to…” or “I don`t want to go to…”  if they failed to catch the ball, they had to listen carefully and write their answers on the whiteboard.

It was a great way to bring the lesson together and give the students one more chance to use their English while sharing their own choices and ideas!

Thank you! See you next time!
