Hello everyone! This is the No Borders International School Toyota branch!
Today we will be showcasing two activities from our Wednesday Foundation 2 class, which consists of 11 students.
The first activity was a game to help students feel more comfortable with asking and answering questions in English. The person holding the ball would choose a friend to throw it to. Then the person who just threw the ball would choose a question to ask the person who caught the ball. Some examples include; “How are you?”, “How old are you?” and, “What do you like?”.
The second activity is a phonics based Red Light, Green Light game where the students would need to slide on their bums when someone said or showed a green light, and they would need to stop moving when someone said or showed a red light. If the students moved on a red light they would need to go back to the start.
Along the way the students would need to pick up the phonic sound cards that were on the floor. After a winner was determined, all the students would need to line up and sound out the cards they picked up. This ensures that all students were at least having to sound out 1 or more sounds.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to our next update!
