Hello! This is No Borders International School Toyota.

As the title implies today’s big focus was on our Halloween class which included a very special Halloween craft activity! We also continued learning about family and completed some textbook work as well.

We started our class as we always do by doing our hello songs which consists of “Can you clap your hands?” and “Hello (rock, scissors, paper)”. The students have gotten very used to this as part of their routine and now can say the words of the songs with a big, loud, and clear voice. It’s a great way to start the class and get them speaking some English.

For the next portion of class we focused on our lesson work for the day. This included naming family members (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, older brother/sister, and younger brother/sister), as well as saying, “This is my ________.” After the story, and some songs we focused on the textbook coloring.

Then, we did a song about shaking hands and saying “Nice to meet you!”. The students have really enjoyed getting to shake hands with the teachers and this was a great chance for them to do it with their friends as well.

Finally, we completed a special activity for our yearbook! While we want to show you pictures we are more excited for your children to be able to show you the completed album upon the completion of the class in March!

Thank you so much for reading our monthly blog and for seeing a sneak peek of what we do in our class. We look forward to giving you further updates and for you to see the completed album at the end of the year!
